What Is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® is a neuromodulator approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat frown lines. It is a non-surgical, safe and effective treatment that can smooth any moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet or forehead lines, refreshing your profile for a youthful look.
The formula is mainly comprised of small amounts of purified botulinum toxin protein, Botulinum toxin (Type A), which blocks the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. This effect relaxes and smooths the look of lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive movements on the face—most commonly, between the brows, crows-feet around the eyes, and horizontal forehead creases. Botulinum toxin is also used cosmetically to balance facial asymmetry and relax tight neck bands
What do you expect from Botox® Injections?
Results are normally seen within a few days but full results are seen at two weeks. In most cases, aesthetic results last 3-4 months and treatments for excessive sweating can last up to a year.
The results vary depending on a lot of factors - body metabolism, activity and body habits play a big role.
If you would like to schedule a consult at Enhance, we will discuss the specifics of the procedure and what you can expect, both during and afterward. Once you are ready, we will schedule your appointment for Botox injections. If you prefer, we can do the injections right after the consultation, giving you the chance to restore your youthful appearance without having to wait!
